Across the 40 store pages we read on stores.staples.com, the single most common schedule was 8 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, 9 AM to 9 PM on Saturday and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, but about half the stores keep shorter hours. Sunday is the shortest day everywhere, and the print and ship counters follow the store's own hours.

Staples Hours Today: What the Store Pages Show
Staples does not publish one national schedule. Each location page on stores.staples.com carries its own hours table, and we read 40 of them, drawn evenly from the roughly 890 stores listed.
That long-hours pattern turned up in busier suburban locations such as Redmond, Washington, Hicksville, New York, San Diego, California and Durham, North Carolina. Another five stores, mostly in the Northeast, closed Saturday an hour earlier, at 8 PM.
The 9 PM weekday close appeared at about half of the stores we read, concentrated in the Northeast, California and the Carolinas. The Midwest, Florida and smaller-market stores in our sample more often closed at 7 or 8 PM, so a store ten miles away can close two hours earlier than the one you usually visit.

Weekday opening times ranged from 8 to 9 AM and closing from 7 to 9 PM. Saturday closing ranged from 5 PM in Auburn, New York to 9 PM at the busiest stores, and Sunday hours ran 10 or 11 AM to 5 or 6 PM at all but one store: Greenville, South Carolina opened at noon on Sunday and was open Saturday on the same 9 AM–7 PM schedule as weekdays.
Is Staples Open on Sunday?
Yes. All 40 stores we checked were open on Sunday, with the earliest opening at 10 AM and the latest closing at 6 PM. Sunday is a short day: most stores open at 10 or 11 AM and close at 5 or 6 PM, so a Sunday print job needs to be in by mid-afternoon.
- 10 AM to 6 PM: the most common Sunday schedule, at 22 of the 40 stores.
- 11 AM to 5 PM or 6 PM: 17 stores, mostly smaller ones outside big metro areas.
- 12 PM to 6 PM: Greenville, South Carolina, the latest Sunday opening in our sample.
A practical rule from the sample: stores that stay open until 9 PM on weekdays also tend to stay open until 9 PM on Saturday, while stores that close at 7 PM on weekdays almost always close at 6 PM or earlier on Saturday and at 5 PM on Sunday. If you only know one of a store's closing times, that pattern lets you guess the others, though the store page remains the only authority.
Staples Print, Shipping and Passport Photo Services
Each Staples store page lists the services that location offers. All 40 pages we read listed print services, tech services, shipping, recycling, direct mail, design services and passport photos. Amazon Returns appeared at 27 of 40 stores, Amazon Pickup at 32, and TSA PreCheck enrollment at 12.
Services run on store hours unless a page says otherwise. A few stores list extras: ClipDrop at two stores, iPostal1 mailbox services at seven, and coworking and podcasting rooms at a single location each in our sample. Because the extra services vary this much, confirm on your store's page that it offers what you need before you drive over.
Staples also lists its stores on a services-by-store basis, with separate pages for business cards, banner printing, copies, document printing and travel services at nearly every location. Those pages are useful for checking whether a store offers a specific print product, but their hours are the store hours.
Staples Holiday Hours: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's
The store pages we read showed no holiday hours for 2026, and Staples does not post a national holiday calendar. The one holiday policy we could document from news coverage dates to 2015, when Staples told customers it would close stores on Thanksgiving Day instead of opening them. A decade-old announcement is not a promise for 2026, so our holiday table marks every holiday as check your store.
Expect holiday schedules to appear on each store page in late November. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve closings are usually earlier than normal, but the exact times are set store by store.

If your Staples has closed for the day, the print-and-ship alternatives keep different hours. FedEx Office and The UPS Store both publish their own store-by-store schedules, and some FedEx Office locations stay open later on weeknights.
