Every Applebee's location page at restaurants.applebees.com has a Restaurant Hours table that runs Monday to Sunday. We read 11 of them on November 1, 2026, in 11 different states, and found six different schedules.

The bars stop at 11:59 PM because the timeline cannot draw an overnight stretch. At those five restaurants the weekend close is 1:00 AM, so the real Friday and Saturday day runs one hour past the end of the bar. A "12am" on a posted table means midnight at the end of that day.
Is Applebee's Open Late? Midnight and 1 AM Closes
Late service is common but not universal. Seven of the 11 restaurants posted a 1 AM close on Friday and Saturday, and Atlanta also closed at 1 AM Monday through Thursday, the latest weeknight we saw. Gilbert, Alton, Arnold and Allentown stopped at midnight on weekends.

Applebee's Sunday Hours
Sunday looks like a regular weeknight at most restaurants. Eight of the 11 closed at midnight, the same as the nights before, and the other three, Alton, Arnold and Allentown, closed at 11 PM. None of the pages we read closed earlier on Sunday than on Monday.
Opening time on Sunday matched the rest of the week at each restaurant: 11 AM at nine of them, 11:30 AM in Allentown, and 9 AM in Astoria, the earliest opening in our group.
What Time Does Applebee's Open?
Nine of 11 restaurants opened at 11:00 AM seven days a week. The outliers are Astoria at 9:00 AM and Allentown at 11:30 AM. No location we read served breakfast hours or opened before 9 AM.

The Amarillo page on Soncy Road also notes that the restaurant opened on March 7, 1995, a small reminder that each page is written for one building and not for the whole chain.
Applebee's Holiday Hours: Thanksgiving, Christmas and More
Applebee's does not publish a holiday schedule. The FAQ text on each location page says the restaurant is open during the hours posted and recommends calling ahead during holidays and seasonal events, which is the closest the company comes to guidance.
That means we cannot tell you whether a particular restaurant will open on Thanksgiving Day, on Christmas Eve or on New Year's Day. The honest answer is to call the number on your restaurant's page a few days before. Our own holiday table lists every holiday as "check your restaurant" for this reason.
Applebee's Veterans Day Free Meal
The company's FAQ page describes a Veterans Day offer that offers a free entree to guests who show proof of military service. The page lists the forms of ID it accepts.
Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11 in 2026. Restaurants keep their own posted hours that day, and we found no Veterans Day schedule, so call first if you plan to arrive near opening or closing time.
Applebee's Happy Hour Times
Each location page's FAQ describes happy hour as generally running from 3 PM to 6 PM. It adds a warning in the same answer: times can change, so the page recommends calling the restaurant.
That window is separate from the closing time in the hours table, and the pages we read gave no restaurant-specific happy hour schedule. If a late-afternoon deal is the reason for your trip, a phone call settles it faster than the page.
How to Read an Applebee's Location Page Before You Go

- Find the Friday and Saturday rows first if you want a late meal; that is where a 1 AM close shows up.
- Treat a 12am entry as the end of the stated day, so Sunday at 12am means Sunday night turns into Monday.
- Look at the opening time as well: our sample ranged from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
- Scan the services list for Carside To Go if you want to stay in the car.
