Kohl's Hours: Today’s Open & Close Times, Sunday & Holiday Hours

Kohl's Store Hours Today: What Time Kohl's Opens and Closes

Every Kohl's has its own page in the store locator with the week's hours. We opened pages for stores in Texas, New York, Florida and Wisconsin to see how much the schedule changes from place to place.

The 9-to-9 pattern with an 8:00 PM Sunday close appears at the Austin and Rochester stores and is the closest thing Kohl's has to a standard week; it also matches the company's 9:00 AM opening everywhere in our sample. The Waterford Lakes store in Orlando adds an hour on Friday and Saturday nights, and the downtown Milwaukee store closes an hour earlier every day.

What Time Does Kohl's Open in the Morning?

Kohl's is one of the earlier department stores to unlock its doors. All four stores in our sample open at 9:00 AM, including on Sunday. That is an hour ahead of Macy's on weekdays and two hours ahead of it on Sunday. That makes a weekday morning, right after opening, the easiest time to use the returns desk or pick up an online order without a line.

During the extended holiday season the opening time moves earlier. Kohl's says that from November 6, 2026, stores will open as early as 7:00 AM on some days.

What Time Does Kohl's Close Tonight?

On a normal Monday through Saturday, closing time is 9:00 PM at most stores and 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday at a smaller group. On Sunday the usual close is 8:00 PM. A few urban stores close at 8:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 PM on Sunday, so check your own store before a late trip.

What Holidays Is Kohl's Closed? Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

Kohl's publishes a short list of closed days in its seasonal store hours help article.

• Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026): closed
• Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2026): closed
• Christmas Day (December 25, 2026): closed

Those three days are the only full closures. Because stores stay dark all of Thanksgiving Day, the first chance to shop the Black Friday sale in person is Friday morning.

Kohl's Black Friday Hours 2026

Kohl's lists Black Friday, November 27, 2026, among the days with special hours but leaves the exact opening time to each store page. The 2026 opening time had not been posted when we checked in October.

Starting November 6, 2026, Kohl's runs extended holiday hours, opening as early as 7:00 AM and closing as late as midnight on selected days. If you plan to shop the Black Friday weekend, open your store's page in the locator during Thanksgiving week, when the holiday times are filled in.

Kohl's Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Hours

The Christmas Eve cutoff is the one shoppers miss most often. With most stores closing at 7:00 PM, the last useful hour for gift cards and stocking stuffers is between 6:00 and 7:00 PM, and checkout lines tend to build before that.

Is Kohl's Open on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day?

Yes. Kohl's names New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day and Veterans Day as days when stores keep standard or near-standard hours. Those Monday holidays are usually big sale days, so expect the regular 9:00 AM opening.

Kohl's Pickup, Returns and Customer Service Hours

Buy online, pick up in store and returns are handled inside the store, so they follow store hours. Kohl's customer service line, 855-564-5705, is staffed from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Central Time Monday through Saturday and from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Central Time on Sunday. Questions about a Kohl's Card go to a separate line, 844-463-7013, which runs around the clock.

How to Check the Hours at Your Kohl's

• Open the Kohl's store locator and choose your state; Texas alone has 89 stores and the chain runs 1,150 stores across 49 states.
• Pick your city, then the store; the store page shows this week's hours and any holiday changes.
• In November and December, look again a few days before you go, because extended holiday hours are added store by store.
