Michaels Hours: Today’s Open & Close Times, Sunday & Holiday Hours

Michaels Store Hours Today: 9 AM to 9 PM, Sunday 10 to 7

Michaels publishes a page for each store on locations.michaels.com with the week's hours, curbside pickup hours and the services that store offers.

The schedule did not change once across our sample, which also included stores in Columbus, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Nashville and Minneapolis. Downtown stores on Avenue of the Americas and Atlantic Avenue in New York keep the same week as a shopping-center store in suburban Houston.

Michaels Sunday Hours

Michaels opens at 10:00 AM on Sunday, an hour later than the rest of the week, and closes at 7:00 PM, two hours earlier than on Saturday. All 15 stores we checked follow those Sunday times.

Unlike Hobby Lobby, which closes every Sunday, Michaels is open seven days a week, so it is the usual Sunday option for last-minute craft and party supplies.

Michaels Curbside and In-Store Pickup Hours

Curbside pickup has its own, shorter window. At 14 of the 15 stores it runs 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, three hours before the store closes on weekdays. The Phoenix store on North Valley Parkway runs curbside from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and from 11:00 AM on Sunday.

• In-store pickup orders are collected inside the store, so they can be picked up until the store closes.
• The store data Michaels publishes holds pickup orders for up to five days.
• Pre-inflated balloons can be ordered online and collected in store.

Michaels Custom Framing Hours and Appointments

Every store page we read lists custom framing as a service, with a link to make an appointment. Framing consultations take place in the store, so they fit inside store hours: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday.

Booking an appointment reserves time with a framing specialist. The Houston Eldridge Parkway store page also lists frame-and-print services and cut-to-order fabric, so check your store's page to see which of these it offers.

Michaels Classes, Events and Birthday Parties

Michaels runs online and in-store classes and demos, including art, sewing and cake decorating, and supplies the materials for in-store sessions. Dates and times are shown when you sign up for a class.

Stores also host children's birthday parties. Michaels lists them at a starting price of $149 for two hours, for ages 4 to 12, with a dedicated space, crafts and cleanup included. Parties are booked online for a specific store and time.

Michaels Balloon Inflation and Party Supplies

Balloon inflation is one of the services listed on Michaels store pages. Stores carry latex, foil and themed balloons and fill them with helium in store, and you can also order pre-inflated balloons online and pick them up. Because inflation is done by staff at the counter, it is only available during store hours, and large orders are easier to collect if you arrive well before the 9:00 PM close.

The same pages promote party tableware, favors, banners and themed decor for birthdays, weddings and showers, so a Michaels run often covers both the balloons and the table for an event.

Michaels Hours During Halloween and the Christmas Season

Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, October 31, and no store we checked listed a special closing for it, so expect the normal Saturday hours of 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Michaels store pages describe seasonal ranges for Christmas, including cards, ornaments and decorations, alongside supplies for Easter, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.

If Michaels changes its hours for the holiday season, the change will appear on each store's page, so in late November and December look there before an evening visit rather than relying on the usual 9:00 PM close.

Is Michaels Open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Other Holidays?

Michaels' store data includes a field for closing dates, and on October 21, 2026 it was empty at every store we checked, meaning no 2026 holiday closures had been posted yet. Michaels does not publish a separate national holiday-hours page that we could find.

For Thanksgiving (November 26, 2026), Black Friday (November 27), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, check your store's page in the week before. That page is where any holiday change will show up.

How to Check the Hours at Your Michaels

• Open the Michaels store locator and choose your state, then your city.
• Each store page shows the full week, curbside hours, phone number and services such as framing, fabric cutting and balloon inflation.
• Call the store number on that page for class times or holiday changes.
