REI Hours Today: 17 Store Pages Compared

Every REI store has its own page with a weekly schedule, a separate line for curbside pickup at some locations, and a list of in-store shops. Here is what 17 of them posted on November 3, 2026.

Because the 17 pages came from stores in cities as different as Anchorage, Dallas and Winter Park, treat the table as a range, not a promise about your local store. Open the page for your own location before driving out.

What Time Does REI Open and Close?

Twelve of the 17 stores closed at 8:00 PM on weekdays, and five (Tustin, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Dallas and Lynnwood) closed at 9:00 PM. Fourteen opened at 10:00 AM, while San Luis Obispo, Winter Park and Durham opened an hour sooner, at 9:00 AM.

Saturday is where individual stores diverge most. Seven of them opened at 9:00 AM that day (Huntsville, San Luis Obispo, Colorado Springs, Winter Park, Boise, St. Louis and Durham), and Anchorage, Boise and Dallas closed earlier than on weekdays. In Boise Saturday ran 9 AM to 7 PM, an hour shorter at the close than a Boise weekday.

• Weekday opening: 10:00 AM at 14 of 17 stores, 9:00 AM at three.
• Weekday closing: 8:00 PM at 12 stores, 9:00 PM at five.
• Saturday close matched the weekday close at 13 stores, was an hour earlier at three (Anchorage, Boise and Dallas) and an hour later at King of Prussia.
• No store in the sample stayed open past 9:00 PM on any day.

King of Prussia and Huntsville show how one line of the week can differ from the rest: the Pennsylvania store closes at 8 PM from Monday to Friday and 9 PM on Saturday, while the Alabama store opens at 10 AM on weekdays and 9 AM on Saturday.

Is REI Open on Sunday? Sunday Hours at 17 Stores

Yes, every REI page in our sample listed Sunday hours, and Sunday was the shortest day of the week at all of them. Thirteen stores opened at 10:00 AM and four (Marlton, King of Prussia, Dallas and Sandy) opened at 11:00 AM. Nine closed at 6:00 PM and eight at 7:00 PM.

Sunday is a seven-hour day at three of the stores, so a late-afternoon pickup or boot fitting can run into closing time. Check the closing time before you set out.

REI Curbside Pickup Hours

REI store pages list the in-store pickup option as Buy online pick up in store, and 10 of the 17 pages we read also posted a separate line for curbside hours. Those lines are not always the same as store hours.

Colorado Springs ended weekday curbside at 5:00 PM, three hours before the store closed, and Anchorage stopped at 6:00 PM, two hours ahead of its 8:00 PM close. King of Prussia and Sandy kept curbside open until the store closed on weekdays. We also read a Lynnwood curbside line, but its Sunday figure was not captured, so it is left out of the table.

REI Bike Shop, Ski Shop and Rental Hours

The In-store shops and services list on REI store pages names a bike shop, a ski shop, rentals, Trade in Used Gear and Buy online pick up in store. Which of them a store has depends on the location, since the list is built per page.

The pages we read did not give separate opening times for the bike shop, ski shop or rentals. If you are planning a tune-up, a rental pickup or a trade-in, assume the shop window is no longer than the store week in the table above and call the store to confirm that the counter you need is staffed at the hour you plan to arrive.

REI Store Hours Update: Date-Specific Changes

REI store pages include a Store Hours Update block for hours that apply only on certain dates. Among the 17 pages we read, only King of Prussia, Pennsylvania had one, covering three Thursday-and-Friday pairs in November 2026.

On the same store's regular weekly schedule, Thursday and Friday end at 8:00 PM, so on those six dates the store stays open an hour later than usual. The page does not give a reason for the change.

REI Holiday Hours: Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Christmas

None of the 17 REI store pages we read listed a holiday schedule, and the REI help-page addresses we tried returned a not-found error. We therefore cannot say whether your store is open or closed on Thanksgiving (November 26, 2026), Black Friday (November 27), Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

The locator at rei.com/stores links to 192 store pages. Each one carries its own address, phone number, weekly hours and list of in-store shops, and its web address is the city name, for example rei.com/stores/anchorage.

That figure is the count of store pages linked from the locator, not a count of open stores, so do not use it as one. Choose the page for the town you will actually drive to.
